Dec. 8, 2011 Goldshield Industries Ltd Europe, announced today that it has just secured the European number for Goldshield24 alcohol-free hand sanitizer and antiseptic having passed the stringent EN 1276 protocol. Andrew Payne and William Want-Sibley, CEO and President of Goldshield Industries Ltd Europe said they are pleased and excited that they now can commence sales of GS 24 , a unique antimicrobial skin sanitizer and antiseptic with residual protection. Mr. Want-Sibley pointed out that in the absence of hand washing, there is a severe need for residual protection as the alcohol hand sanitizers have none. He went on to say that many people believe, wrongfully, that alcohol hand sanitizers protect themselves from microbial contamination, when, in fact, alochol evaporates shortly after application posing the risk of immediate re-contamination. The features and benefits of GS 24 are that it provides persistent and durable protection and is considered a broad spectrum antimicrobial as evidenced by the EN 1276 and other evidenced-based studies conducted in the USA.

Goldshield 24, is owned by AP Goldshield LLC ,USA and exclusively distributed in Eurpoe by Goldshield Industries Ltd. Europe. The formula was derived, in part, from a patented technology invented at Emory University, Atlanta GA, which stablized in water an organsilane active ingredient. Goldshield Industries Europe offers the full line of protective formulations and high heat vapor technologies, which can be applied to surfaces, equipment, air filters , textiles and now skin with long term residual protection. The efficacy performance of these formulatins is derived from 25 evidenced-based studies and the peer review publication in the American Journal of Infection Control in the August 2011 publication titled: “In vitro Evaluation of a Novel Process for Reducing Bacterial Contamination of Environmental Surfaces.”

Goldshield® Military Trial Indicates Great Success!

Tom Higgins, CEO of AP Goldshield LLC, USA and William Want-Sibley, President of Goldshield Industries Europe announced today that the reports on the trials by the British and US Military Special forces on the Goldshield alcohol-free skin foaming sanitizer and wipes are proving to be very successful in mitigating the spread of fungi and skin rashes.

It is estimated that over sixty percent of all military personnel are afflicted with Tinea-pedis, commonly referred to as “athletes foot”, and others on the front line are plagued with fungal and bacterial skin infections, often leading to very serious consequences, such as loss of a limbs.

R. Burt Prater, MD Chief Science Officer of Goldshield and formerly associated with the US Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”), has indicated that the performance and effectiveness of these products is due to its unique killing functionality and it’s long term residual protection.. Often warriors are on reconnaissance 30 days and do not have access to proper personal hygiene, and therefore a skin sanitizer and antiseptic, with long term protection, applied by foam or by wipes is an ideal remedy for controlling harmful microbes.

In the absence of washing regularly there is a great need for residual protection which is precisely what the Goldshield products offer.

Mr. Higgins said that he is not surprised on the performance of these products for military personnel as Goldshield has been used on military uniforms and other textiles applications, inhibiting the growth of harmful organisms. He referred to a peer review publication in the American Journal of Infection Control, which showed that linens treated with Goldshield and exposed to cfu’s of 10⁶ of Methicillin Resistant Strain of Staph. aureus (“MRSA”), that Goldshield killed on contact and there was no growth for the 16 day trial.

Goldshield is expanding its influence outside North America to Europe, Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, with plans to accelerate its distribution Globally.

Andrew Payne CEO and William Want-Sibley President of Goldshield® Industries Europe Ltd, introduced and exhibited the USA Goldshield® System of products at the prestigious Infection Prevention Society’s Conference this past week in Bournemouth, England.

The theme to address new emerging and proven effective technologies to combat and help mitigate-healthcare-acquired-infections was particularly well received at this event. The Goldshield® products provide on hard surfaces and equipment, a novel long term residual protection, while the core technology can also be applied to textiles providing the same level protection. Mr. Payne stated that “all the efficacy performance statements regarding Goldshield® were evidenced based and peer-reviewed.” This data provided a very credible launch to the Goldshield® system as the data was derived from US hospitals and university-affiliated hospital research.

Mr. Want-Sibley pointed out that the Henry Ford Hospital’s Infectious Disease laboratory (USA) study was published in the American Journal of Infection Control August 2011 edition titled: “ In vitro Evaluation of a Novel Process for Reduction of Bacterial Contamination of Environmental Surfaces.” Mr. Want-Sibley, highlighted that in the study there was a very high inoculation of MRSA isolates, which were exposed to Goldshield treated linens and the microbes “were killed on contact and there was no growth for the 16 day trial.”

R. Burt Prater, MD Corporate Chief Science Officer of Goldshield Industries International LLC, USA who spoke at the conference, pointed out that the USA Centers of Disease Control (CDC) attributes 70% of the non surgical site infections to hand contact. Dr. Prater MD, after receiving his medical education at Alabama and Harvard worked for the CDC in infection control, said “there is a demand for new hand sanitizing formulations that are more gentle and longer lasting, …precisely the advantages of the Goldshield alcohol-free sanitizer and antiseptic. Dr. Prater, MD encouraged participants to review the high heat vapor system, Goldshield Bio-vapor, and consider it for initial deep-cleaning particularly facilities challenged with Clostridium difficle (C’diff) spores and MRSA, as the release of the heat along with the Goldshield antimicrobial will kill these microbes in less than 2 seconds.

Murry Zborowski Chairman and Tom Higgins, CEO of AuProvise, S.A., [ dba “Goldshield”] announced today that they have entered into a distribution agreement with a newly formed entity, Goldshield Industries Limited, UK, owned by co-Presidents, William Sibley and Andrew Payne.

AuProvise and its domestic subsidiary, AP Goldshield LLC, have been marketing a unique patented, water-stable antimicrobial formula and a new alcohol-free hand sanitizer with long term residual protection and have selected Goldshield Industries Limited, UK, to become their distribution platform in Western Europe.

Mr. Payne pointed out that on a global basis there is a rise of “superbugs”, such as MRSA, Staph, and HlNl and there is a strong awareness in the public mind about infection. Institutions, ranging from nursing homes, to correctional facilities, to schools, to fitness centers, to hospitals themselves, are increasingly aware of the huge liability that these sorts of infections represent. There are literally thousands of well documented cases of patients entering a hospital for a relatively minor procedure, becoming infected and either enduring a long painful recovering process, or even worse, dying. This rise of tenacious, life-threatening microbes creates a demand for a product that reduces the probability of contracting these infections by simply reducing the exposure to them………that is precisely what Goldshield® does, through a long term residual action.

Mr. Sibley said that the business within the grasp of Goldshield is well beyond the regular realm of a growing industry, it can span sectors from healthcare to the military, to the institutional cleaning and remediation business, and we’re very excited to have secured the rights of distribution on these unique Goldshield products.

Mr. Higgins said, plans to launch the release of these products in Europe will commence as soon as regulatory registrations are awarded. He anticipates that Goldshield Industries Limited will utilize the successful business models employed in the USA, where the focus has been on healthcare, sports hygiene, military, and institutional and industrial cleaning applications.

Tom Higgins, CEO of AP Goldshield LLC, announced today that Dr. Prater has joined AP Goldshield (“dba “Goldshield” ) as Corporate Medical Director of their fast growing life science business, which is built around unique, patented, long term protective hygiene and steam technologies.

Dr. Prater is a native of Alabama and attended undergraduate school at Auburn University where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering and Pre-Med. He received his medical training at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. For two years following completion of his medical training he was involved in teaching infectious disease to practicing primary care physicians at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

For the next 20 years he was the Senior Physician and CEO of three large primary care clinics in Atlanta. At that point Dr. Prater founded and served as the CEO of a company in Atlanta that provided health monitoring programs for workers in highly hazardous work environments. The company had contractual arrangements with over 2500 clinics in all 50 states and 6 foreign countries. During the 8 years involved in the growth of that company he attended a two year business management program (OPM) at Harvard Business School. After selling the company in 1998 he started a private medical consulting group. He has served as the Corporate Medical Director for a large subsidiary of Bechtel Corporation for the past eleven years.

He currently lives in the North Georgia Mountains with his wife, Joan. They have a daughter and three grandchildren.

Mr. Higgins went on to say “how important it is to have someone of Dr. Prater’s background lead our Medical Advisory Board, as so much of our corporate focus has been on healthcare, in efforts to reduce hospital acquired infections, while providing great economic benefits to these facilities”.

AuProvise, S.A., Acquires Goldshield Med LLC of Delaware

Murry Zborowski, Chairman of AuProvise, S.A. a life science company, announced today the acquisition of Goldshield Med LLC. Delaware, USA, a scientific research laboratory specializing in unique preventive coatings and steam technologies. Goldshield Med had been a licensor to AuProvise on a patent pending organosilane formulation, which provides long term residual protection and fast surface penetration and recently had licensed an alcohol free hand sanitizer and antiseptic. Although the specific terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, all right, title and interest were transferred to AuProvise on all proprietary inventions of Goldshield Med.

Tom Higgins CEO of AuProvise said, “The increase of life threatening and debilitating diseases, such as MRSA, and H1N1 has created a demand for a product that reduces the probability of contracting these infections by simply reducing the exposure to them………that is precisely what the Goldshield® technologies do through a unique long term residual protective action”.

Mr. Zborowski said, “These formulations will form the cornerstone of our product line for surfaces, textiles and human protection”. AuProvise launched the alcohol-free hand sanitizer in Nov. 2010 and has experienced significant revenue growth in the last three months. Mr. Higgins pointed out that the repeated use of alcohol sanitizers results in drying and cracking of skin, posing greater risks of infection, while at the same time science has demonstrated that these sanitizers are short-lived and ineffective against many viruses found within the healthcare environment. Goldshield 24 provides an alcohol-free hand sanitizer that is broad spectrum, does not destroy the natural skin oils and provides a long term residual protection exceeding FDA requirements for persistence.

Nov. 20, 2010 Greensboro, NC. The infection control practitioners at Duke Medical recognizing the unique features and benefits of the Goldshield technologies, invited AP Goldshield LLC and their distributor Pelican Solutions to participate in Duke’s DICON Symposium on infection control, which focused on new methods, emerging technologies and practices. Attended by 40 hospitals, with an extend reach to an additional 100 facilities who have affiliated themselves with the DICON symposiums, Marty Joyce of Pelican said “that the reception to the Goldshield product line was excellent. An infection control speaker said that 3-5 years from now the protocols, practices, and equipment they are presently using will be obsolete and replaced with new emerging disruptive technologies.” Marty went on to say that : “the acceptance by the American Journal of Infections Control to publish, under their peer review, the Henry Ford Hospital System study : “In vitro Evaluation of a Novel Process for Reduction of Bacterial Contamination of Environmental Surfaces ” added signifcant independent credibility to the residual effectiveness of the Goldshield antimicrobial.”

Ron Stroh of Goldshield pointed out that the antimicrobial and alcohol-free hand sanitizer fit the description of an emerging , disruptive technology, because they provide a unique feature heretofore unavailble “that being long term residual protection. The chemicals presently being used today deactivate within an hour providing no residual protection, yet the microbes reconstitute in such a rapid manner that one simple bacterium can multiply to a trillion in a 24 hour cycle, posing persistent threats of infections to patients, staff and visitors.

Marty Joyce pointed out the economics of reducing the bio-burden, just as sterilization reduces the bio-burden on utensils, and the financial impact that will have on reducing infections, which are now no longer reimbursed by Medicare and many private insurers….at an unrecoverable cost to the hospital that could run $4000 per day.

Those in attendance look forward to advancing the Goldshield systems, after the holidays, and we’ll update the information as these hospitals and nursing homes become clients.

The President of AP Goldshield LLC, Tom Higgins, participated in a panel discussion, along with ECA Cleaning companies, union repersentation, a hospital management advisor and a sterilization expert. Higgins focused on the enhanced value the Goldshield products provide for a Safer and Greener future, he was quoated as saying: “heretofore cleaning and disinfection was missing one key elelment, that being residual long term protection, and that is what the Goldshield products provide.” The recognition by the ECA particpants regarding the persistent inhibiting features of Goldshield was very well received, mindful that disinfectants and cleaning agents deactivate within an hour.

Oct 22, 2010 Bed bugs are becoming an epidemic problem in many cities across the USA. Hospitality, Schools & Universities, Retail Stores and Transportation vehicles have all been impacted by the bed bug scurge. To eradictae the problem and inhibit mold growth, a consequence of injecting heat, moisture, and hunidity AP Goldshield has announced their Bio-vapor steam system will earadicate bed bugs and inhibit the growth of mold all in one simple operation. Steam has been known* to be the most effective method in killing these bugs and provides a environmentally benign delivery system as an alternative to the toxic insecticides, which are non-ovicidal. For information about the Bio-vapor system please contact our customer service department: customerservice@goldshieldtech.com

*¨Code of Practice for Bed Bug Infestations in Australia, (“COP”).: “The great advantage [of steam] is that it will kill all bed bug stages, including the eggs (most insecticides are non-ovicidal)

¨Cornell University:“Steam treatments, when properly applied, will kill all life stages of bed bugs, including the eggs, which are protected from the effects of most pesticides.” ¨

Penn State University all subscribe to Steam heat to kill these bugs: “Bugs will sometimes hide in the crevices of upholstered furniture and mattresses created by folds, buttons, and cording. Thoroughly vacuum all upholstery—including the undersides—mattresses, and pillows. Launder bedding and dry in a warm air dryer. Mattresses, upholstered furniture, and cushions can be treated with “dry” steam.”
